Turkish Delight At The Ball For Geoff

Birmingham Press Club’s Annual Press Ball, compered by Heart FM Breakfast presenter Ed James and sponsored by Birmingham Airport and Barclays Corporate, took place at the Macdonald Burlington Hotel, Birmingham.

Fabulous raffle prizes were on offer, generously provided by the Club’s loyal supporters and Barclays Corporate “matched” the proceeds, resulting in a grand total of £2,700 being donated to Acorns Children’s Hospice, the preferred charity of Birmingham Airport.

Lucky guest Geoffrey Parsons took home the star prize – two Turkish Airline tickets from Birmingham Airport to any destination served by the airline.

Press Club Chairman John Lamb said: “The Ball is clearly one of the best value-for-money events in town and everyone, as usual, thoroughly enjoyed themselves.”
