Looking to touch down at this year’s annual black tie-event, at the Macdonald Burlington Hotel, Birmingham, on Friday October 7, are Press Club Chairman John Lamb, Birmingham Airport chief executive Paul Kehoe and Ed James, the award-winning host of Heart Breakfast, who will compere the event.

Birmingham Airport is the main sponsor of the Ball. Further support is being provided by Barclays Corporate, which is to sponsor the reception. John Lamb said: “The Ball is one of the best value-for-money events in town and we are indebted to Birmingham Airport and Barclays Corporate for their generosity and on-going support.”

He added: “There's plenty to enjoy - the food, the drink, the company - and also our fantastic raffle, surely one of the best around!”

Raffle proceeds are going to Acorns, the children’s hospice.

Tickets for the Ball are priced at £54 for members, £60 for non-members. Tables of ten are also available.
