Events Diary 2010

Please Note Re: Drinks Night unfortunately, the generous hospitality of the Press Club and Royal Mail is being abused at these events. We know that there are a number of people turning up who are not members, or even remotely connected to the Press Club or the media in any way. Some are from downstairs in the Old Royal - these people have been identified and will in future be barred, with help from the staff of the pub. Others, though, have obviously found about Press Club drinks night and are turning up just to take advantage - therefore, in future, only people who are able to produce a current Press Club membership card will be allowed to order free drinks - others will have to pay. We are sorry for the tone of this warning, but the activities of certain people are ruining this event for everyone else - if the abuse cannot be halted, we will reluctantly have to end what has become a very successful networking event.

Your existing Press Club card will suffice, even if it carries an expiry date. If you don't have any Press Club card, please contact membership secretary Tony Bell (0121 450 4220 or e: t.bell@birminghamchamber.org.uk), who will be pleased to issue you with one.
