Tour de France, it wasn’t. But Birmingham Press Club director Ian Greaves has just completed a 20-mile cycle ride for charity.

Ian (pictured above, centre), a partner at KPMG, took part in the ride with colleagues from the Birmingham-based accountancy giant, who pushed the pedals in aid of Barnardo’s, the firm’s corporate charity.

The circuit which was designed to cater for all abilities, incorporated road and canal tow paths around the city, starting and finishing at the firm’s Snow Hill offices.

Ian, who organised the event, said: “A number of us are keen cyclists and as a result, we wanted to widen this interest to others and at the same time put it to good use in raising money for this worthwhile cause.”

The team expects to raise in excess of £300 for the children’s charity.
