Welcome to the Birmingham Press Club

Welcome to the Birmingham Press Club - the oldest Press Club in the world.

The Club was established in 1865, and has more than 350 members, including journalists from newspapers, magazines, televison and radio.

The Club, which runs an active social programme for the benefit of the local media, boasts a lengthy and prestigious list of honorary members, including HRH Princess Alexandra, Baroness Thatcher, Earl Spencer, Ludovic Kennedy and Michael Parkinson.

The programme of activities includes the hugely successful annual ball, and also the Midlands Media Awards – to say nothing of our well-known celebrity speaker events!

You will find more information about the Club and its activities on this website and you can now book and pay for tickets to all of the Club´s events, via our secure payment system on the Birmingham Press Club Event Booking Centre.

We welcome members’ views and if you have anything to say, please email our membership secretary, Tony Bell, at info@birmingham-press-club.co.uk. We look forward to hearing from you.
